[ Season 1 !Season 2 !Season 3 !Season 4 ! Season 5 !Season 6 !Season 7 !Season 8 ]
Paige ( Rose Magowan ), Phoebe ( Alyssa Milano ) and Piper ( Holly Marie Combs ) must save a mermaid ( Jamie Pressley ) from a sea hag.
Phoebe tries to get a divorce.
A demon (Judson Scott - V: The Series ) is after mermaid Phoebe ( Alyssa Milano ).
An evil witch traps the three sisters in fairytales.
Phoebe ( Alyssa Milano ) goes on a date with Sean Patrick Flannery ( Young Indiana Jones, Dead Zone ) - but she is Cinderella.
Paige ( Rose Magowan ) does not like Fairy Tales any more - though she liked them last season. It does not stop her from becoming Snow White. Danny Woodburn ( Lois & Clark, SU2 ) is leader of the seven dwarves.
The Siren ( Melinda Clarke ) summons Phoebe ( Alyssa Milano ) and Cole (Julian McMahon - Nip/Tuck).
Piper ( Holly Marie Combs ) and Leo bicker so much that the unborn baby swops their powers.
The girls meet a teenager whose drawings come true. He sketches them as superheroes, and they suddenly get cleavage-enhancing spandex! The same superpower was used as a Trouble in Haven , but nobody thought of asking for superpowers.
A demon is after the teenager. This time the freak of the week is rent-a-villain Mark Sheppard ( Supernatural ). How will Crowley fare against the Charmed Ones?
A demon (Tobin Bell - Saw ) is stealing the eyes of Gypsy fortune-tellers. His son is after a female doctor (a lost gypsy priestess).
The girls' father (James Read - North and South) makes an appearance. So does Barabas (Billy Drago - Vamp ), demon of Fear - or is it Anger? Yes, Barbas is back in town, and he goes after the sisters with a vengeance.
Phoebe ( Alyssa Milano ) goes on a date - no shirt, just a push-up bra. A Warlock arrives from the future. He claims that Future Cole (Julian McMahon - Nip/Tuck) sent him to save Phoebe's BF, Miles (Ken Marino - Veronica Mars, Reaper ).
Present Cole has a different agenda. And can the Warlock be trusted?
Her new BF is doomed to die, but Cole must kill him before Phoebe dies too. There are multiple do-overs ...
Cole (Julian McMahon - Nip/Tuck) is an alcoholic after being dumped by Phoebe ( Alyssa Milano ). He vanquishes a couple of murderous crooks, so she threatens to kill him.
Paige ( Rose McGowan ) is given her first charge - a middle-aged alkie whitelighter named Sam. What she does not know is - he is her dad!
A Darklighter wants to kill Sam. And Cole has a secret plan ...
Cole is approached by a couple of magical figures named Avatars. One of them is Tony Todd [ Candyman ], so we know this has to be important.
Darrell is on the track of serial-killer Adrian Paul ( Highlander, Tracker ). Turns out he reanimates his mumified lover in the bodies of witches, and Phoebe ( Alyssa Milano ) is lined up as the next vic. This is a good excuse to get her into a skimpy costume to do some belly-dancing.
Piper ( Holly Marie Combs ) is heavily pregnant, and unhappy at how it is. But the baby makes her indestructible!
Phoebe is sexually frustrated - wearing out the batteries as Paige ( Rose Magowan ) puts it. And Cole (Julian McMahon - Nip/Tuck) is still growing his beard and attempting suicide. He is indestructible ... And insane.
Episode 99, and the trio have bad luck. Cole (Julian McMahon - Nip/Tuck) is plotting something.
Cole sends a female shapeshifter demon (who moonlights as a pole-dancer) to imitate Phoebe ( Alyssa Milano ). His well-dressed sidekick is Sergeant Deeks from Dexter.
This is the 100th episode of the TV show. And though the show doesn't really have story arcs, one of the most important events in the show happens in this ep!
It is also Cole's 100th birthday. He joins the Avatars, and wishes that Paige ( Rose Magowan ) was never born. Not unlike the Buffy S3 ep The Wish
Paige tries to murder Cole (Julian McMahon - Nip/Tuck). He alters the past, leading to a showdown. Unfortunately, Cole's plan is fundamentally flawed.
The house is filled with an evil essence, so a Witch Doctor ( Final Friday ) removes it. But he also Hexes the sisters.
Paige ( Rose Magowan ) becomes jealous, Piper is a neat freak and Phoebe ( Alyssa Milano ) is slutty. No change there, then. Phoebe tries to murder a chubby rival ... and Paige wants to marry her BF (who is engaged to someone else).
Dream Demon Tim Kelleher ( Dark Skies ) chases the Sandman (Henry Gibson - The Burbs ). He wants to bring dreams and nightmares to life.
Magic disappears, and the demons have to resort to old-fashioned violence. Luckily their bodies still disappear in a puff of smoke when they die, so there is no problem with the cops!
Richard Lynch - Halloween 2007 ) and W Morgan Sheppard ( SeaQuest DSV ) are the head villains this week. Lynch sends in his sidekick, Stanley the Demon (AKA the Doppel-Deaner from Community). The Warlocks make a truce with the Charmed Ones, just to get magic back again.
Piper is in her third trimester, about to give birth. However, she has not registered with a gynecologist or had any medical check-ups. Luckily the sisters' father is in town with his new bride - Cheryl Ladd ! Ironically, Ladd and Lynch previously starred together twenty years previously in another show about a trio of babes - Charlie's Angels! Yes, he was their pimp when they went undercover as high-class hookers. Jacqueline Smith valued herself as worth a Grand ... a fair estimate, to be honest.
Fantastical elements in shows are generally a metaphor for a controversial real-life issue. For example, in Buffy the Vampire Slayer the demons are generally metaphors for problems a High School girl might face in real life, such as potentially date-rapey boys. In this episode, when the magic is stripped away so is the metaphor. We see the Halliwells for exactly who and what they are. They arm themselves with home-made weapons like improvised explosives (instead of potions) and purge a bunch of swarthy-looking, funny-speaking people from the hot place down south. Yes, this show is a metaphor for a race-war between Caucasian-Americans and Latinos! Is this reviewer the only one who wishes that the mixed-race Cole (Julian McMahon - Nip/Tuck) had won?
Phoebe ( Alyssa Milano ) argues with her editor.
Paige ( Rose McGowan ) wears a tight rubber dress. She is pretending to be a demonic Bounty Hunter.
Anti-aging demons want Piper's baby. But since the kid has witch and whitelighter parents, they are in for a shock.
A demon is killing off Leprechauns to get at their lucky gold. Yes, yet another offensive racial stereotype is presented here.
Paige ( Rose Magowan ) wants to get around the Personal Gain clause. She teams up with the Leprechauns ...
Phoebe ( Alyssa Milano ) tries on-line dating. This was directed by Roxann Dawson .
Phoebe is the only wage-earner in the household of four adults. Presumably Piper does not make any profit from P3 any more, and Leo must be a stay-at-home dad. Paige should probably get another temp job, but she would much rather go around risking her life fighting demons than earning a living.
A Demon is after Fairie girls.
Phoebe ( Alyssa Milano ) wears a cleavage-enhancing dress and screws her boss (Eric Dane - ).
Paige ( Rose Magowan ) dances sexy to summon an new Satyr. will it be her ex-BF, Marilyn Manson?
A Crone with a magick monkey steals one of the five senses from each of the sisters. Paige ( Rose Magowan ) loses her voice (she sings at the end), Piper loses her sight and Phoebe ( Alyssa Milano ) loses her hearing.
The murderous bitches want to torture enemies. There is no balance between good and evil.
Granny's ghost is summoned to fight a Necromancer.
Phoebe ( Alyssa Milano ) and Paige ( Rose Magowan ) have Boyfriend issues as well. No change there then.
A demon awakes the Titans (including Brian Thompson - X-Files ). They have the power to turn Whitelighters to stone!
The good-guys assemble. A Whitelighter from the future (Phoebe's luuurve interest?), a Fairy ( Debbie Lee Carrington ?), the 7th Dwarf and a Leprechaun.
The Titans are after The Elders ...
The Titans are back, led by Kronos (Brian Thompson - Terminator ). They are the most powerful magical creatures in the universe, although they have never been mentioned before and will never be mentioned again. They kill off most of the Elders. Luckily Leo takes a quick promotion, and as the smartest man standing he is defacto chief of the remaining Elders. To save the world he turns the Charmed Ones into Greek Goddesses, but this is not as useful as it sounds. Phoebe ( Alyssa Milano ) is Goddess of Love, while Paige ( Rose Magowan ) is Goddess of War. Each gets overwhelmed by the urges associated with their new status. Paige starts an army by conscripting some demons, while Phoebe attends a Bachelor Auction and starts a Love Cult. As they are technically no longer witches, they do not fall foul of the Personal Gain clause.
Piper is meant to be the Earth Mother, who brings peace between Love and War. Unfortunately she is so deep in denial about Leo's promotion that she cannot fulfill the role of her godhood.
The ep spends more time on the Sisters' (and Leo's) relationships than on the Titans plot!
Chris, the boy from the future, is the Charmed Ones' new whitelighter. However there is a lot of foreshadowing that implies he has an unpleasant ulterior motive. Is he trustworthy?
