A group of teenagers arrive at their summer job - a childrens' camp beside a remote lake in the USA. Yes, this is set up as a pastiche of Friday The Thirteenth . However, this camp is not built on an old Native American burial ground. No, but back in the 1800s it used to be the site of a cult of devil-worshippers led by Tony Todd ( Candyman ).
The token black guy is documenting everything with a personal camcorder. Of course, this is not a massive boxy 1980s camcorder but a more modern mini-DV camera from circa the year 2000. This is not the only anachronism. The token gay character, flamboyant for a teenager, seems very out of place in something set thirty years ago.
