Lisa Evans ( Jasmine Jobson ) discovers why Edward Warren (Phil Davis - ) killed himself. This is a generic males-abusing-females storyline, which is the same as the main storyline.
Meanwhile, the local transport cop suspects the boyfriend's flatmate, Richard Shale (Reece Ritchie - The Outpost ). His neurodiverse actions make him seem creepy. But was he really stalking Lisa ... or her boyfriend?
This episode is an extended flashback, charting the time from Lisa Evans ( Jasmine Jobson ) meeting her boyfriend to her demise. It seems he was a control freak, which makes him a bad choice as a life-partner but not exactly the same as a serial killer.
The boyfriend's other sin, apart from being controlling, is that he used to be flirtatious. It does not matter that he is monogamous today, but that he was sexually open-minded years ago.
Since it has been a year, the boyfriend has now moved on. He has chosen a new girlfriend, a nurse. Lisa Evans ( Jasmine Jobson ) is very offended at this.
The Transport cop gets interrogated by his boss for conducting the illegal investigation. However, when the boss discovers that the suspect is now dating a nurse ... Well, the boss's daughter is a nurse so he takes it personally.
All in all, this makes the boyfriend look pretty sympathetic. He is framed for most of the bad things by the ghost, after all.
