ORBzine - Twisted Tales TV Review

A man is very (over-)confident, and relies on his mobile phone for everything. But he receives mysterious text messages, and his life falls apart.

An annoying 20-something yuppie git has his life fall apart on a business trip. He's stalked by a little old lady, and rents a room from creepy couple Mary Tamm [ Dr Who ] and Paul Darrow [ Blake's 7 ].

A failed Metal band invent a new sound, Light Metal. This is basically ripped off from bands like Stryper and The Darkness. It's like cheesy pop, but they can play actual instruments. The band's leader dresses like Shaggy in Scooby Doo . The babe knows big words, but can't pronounce them!

The band are plagued by mysterious deaths. CID officer Morwenna Banks investigates.

There's a game on the World Wide Web, used by a serial killer. This is a bit like a certain TV show by Lynda LaPlante a few years ago. There are also references to the Necronomicon. Unfortunately for this series, this particular episode isn't very funny.

A couple of 30-somethings got to a haunted guest-house (guest-starring Stuart Hall from It's A Knock-out). The scares are crap, but their lives fall apart ... It's a wee bit predictable, and not terribly funny. Lots of swearing ...
