In the run-up to Hallowe'en, E4 unleashes this new horror-drama. This is to Big Brother what Lost is to Survivor. Another, less generous way of putting it is that it is a good way to re-use tired old props like Davina McCall !
This owes a lot to 28 Days Later , and I do not just mean the Fast Zombies. That film started with comegy actor David Schneider, a figure so recognisable and miscast it ruined suspension of disbelief. This effort includes actor Kevin Eldon ( Hyperspace ) as a supposedly unknown Big Brother participant.
By the end of the first episode, the Zombies have taken over. The only survivors are the BB inmates and a couple of the Production staff. It is all set for an action-packed series!
The girl researcher Kelly ( Jaime Winstone - AKA Ray Winstone's daughter!) explains the situation to the inmates. Since one of them has been bitten, the others must leave the building and scavenge for medicine.
The Asian Boyfriend meets another survivor, Alex ( Liz May Brice ).
The Evil producer is trapped with a bimbo. Zombie Davina McCall is outside ...
The scavenger party runs into some trigger-happy cops.
The Producer and the bimbo try to rejoin the main group.
The Asian BF and his acquaintance Alex ( Liz May Brice ) try to get to the BB studios.
All the survivors are in the Big Brother House. The Producer plans to take the van and leave. This plan is insane - there is nowhere to go, the van will run out of fuel, and the only location that is anything approaching safe is the BB house itself. Unfortunately, the other survivors are completely dimwitted and arrogant to the point that none of them has the ability to explain these simple facts.
The bitterness that exists within the group of survivors leads to a terrifying climax.
