Emma ( Joanne Whalley ) is shot and killed. Her father, Craven (Bob Peck - Slipstream ), is a senior cop so he launches his own private investigation.

Craven uncovers a Conspiracy. Darius Jedburgh (Joe Don Baker - Goldeneye ) has a small scene.

Craven (Bob Peck - Slipstream ) goes to London. He has flashbacks and visions of his daughter. She appears to him throughout the rest of the show, and at first it is ambiguous as to whether she is a fantasy or a ghost.

Craven meets his daughter's BF (Tim McInnerny - Blackadder), and Darius Jedburgh (Joe Don Baker - Goldeneye ). He realises Emma's political involvement in an environmentalist group called Gaia.

Darius Jedburgh (Joe Don Baker - Goldeneye ) goes after the eeevil American. This leads to the climax of the show, and involves Tickling the Demon's Tail.

The Government brings in their unofficial executioner - an ex-SAS fellow. The introduction of such an important character at such a late stage indicates one of the secrets about the creation of this show - it was not completed in its entirety before filming started.
