Neil Gaiman's Likely Stories Neil Gaiman's Likely Stories [Season 1, Episode 1] Foreign Parts
    Shown 26th May 2016 [Thursday]

A twenty-something office drone contracts a venereal disease, even though he has not had sex in the previous three years. He goes to a clinic where an Australian nurse named Bronwyn ( Monserrat Lombard ) takes the specimens.

The protagonist starts to suspect that the mysterious infection is taking over his body, like The Thing (1982) . But his doctor assumes this is a delusion, linked to the one about assuming certain people have been replaced with exact duplicates. Later the doctor begins to suspect that people he knows have been replaced ,,,

Neil Gaiman's Likely Stories Neil Gaiman's Likely Stories [Season 1, Episode 2] Feeders and Eaters
    Shown 26th May 2016 [Thursday]

The narrator, Joyce ( Monserrat Lombard ), breaks the fourth wall like in Shirley Valentine. She works the night shift in a cafe in London. One night she meets an old friend, who tells her a frightening tale.

The friend is a young man who lives in rented accommodation. His neighbour, Effie ( Rita Tushingham ), is a nice old lady. However, she has a strange condition. She needs to eat raw meat. And then the landlord's cat mysteriously goes missing ...

As with the other stories, this is basically a fragment. The narrator only gives the details that they know, which means there is an awful lot left out.

Neil Gaiman's Likely Stories Neil Gaiman's Likely Stories [Season 1, Episode 3] Closing Time
    Shown 2nd June 2016 [Thursday]

Struggling novelist Johnny Vegas ( ) recounts a scary tale to his friends in the pub (including Monserratt Lombard ).

The story is about a creepy encounter that he had as a child. The ending asks more questions than it answers.

Neil Gaiman's Likely Stories Neil Gaiman's Likely Stories [Season 1, Episode 4] Looking for the Girl
    Shown 2nd June 2016 [Thursday]

Successful photographer Kenneth Cranham ( ) recounts a creepy tale to his friend in the studio.

The story is about an obsession he developed with a model who became his muse. She posed for Penthouse magazine many times over the years, but despite decades passing she remained eternally nineteen years old.

As with the previous story, this lacks a real sense of closure. However, if one is familiar with Gaiman's wider work (such as Sandman) then one can fill in the blanks.
