Cardigan has to track down a female cyborg who is killing off the people she blames for her military unit being wiped out in a war.
The hero, Jake Cardigan, gets headhunted into an elite Federal Agency called Tek Posse. However, this dream job turns out to be different from what he expected. For example, the Uber-Feds are willing to torture a witness to death when she witholds information to protect her family from Tek Lord reprisals.
Also, Cardigan's former associates (including Shatner's character himself) turn into obnoxious, resentful assholes for no reason whatsoever.
