) in New York City.
She discovers that she is half-Angel,
and they are fighting a secret war against Demons.
Unfortunately this means that she cannot trust anyone.
Rogue Angel Valentine (Jonathan Rhys Myers - Ghormenghast ) has sent Kevin Durand ( The Strain ) and his other minions to catch our heroine. She is presumed to know the location of the plot device, a magic cup that will allow the creation of more half-Angels for his army.
Our girl was born with a special destiny. She has two boys to help her. Simon (Robert Sheehan - Misfits ) is a nerdy mortal, who is completely friendzoned and will never amount to anything or lead a decent life. His job is to work his ass off in the name of friendship - you know, the butt-monkey. The other one is Jace (Jamie Campbell Bowers - Twilight ), a super-powered pretty-boy love-interest. The one who was born with privilege, and will always get the girl. This sounds awfully similar to Buffy the Vampire Slayer .
The cast is rounded out with the likes of CCH Pounder as a witch, and Jared Harris ( Fringe ) as the wise old mentor figure.
