The confrontation is brief and anti-climactic,
both visually and in terms of story-telling.

He hitches a lift with a young woman and her brother.
They want to go to New York City,
where Dr Suresh will be able to help cure their unwanted superpower.
Micah is in New Orleans, staying with his Grandma (

) and his cousin Monica.
It turns out that Monica has some powers of her own!

Matt and Nathan track down the villain,
who claims to be the next target on someone's hit-list.
Yes, whoever killed Hiro's dad and framed Nathan's mother
has the other parents in their sights as well.
Elle Bishop (
Kristen Bell
) arrives in Cork. She is after Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia -
Gotham
), and she is eeevil in a way
that the loveably murderous Oirish gangsters cannot deal with!
Will (Dominic Keating -
Enterprise
) sends Elle in the right direction.
The silly fool does not even bother to ask for a bribe.
Peter will get some protection from Ricky (Holt McCallany -
Freedom
), but his best option is to keep his head down.
That should not be too difficult,
since none of them has anything approaching a real Cork accent.
Ando discovers an ancient scroll.
It is a letter from Hiro,
who recounts his adventures with the great hero Takezo Kensei (David Anders -
Alias
). Unfortunately there is a love triangle.
These things never end well.
Worse, the three of them must fight against an army of enemies.
Micah's cousin watches
Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story (1993)
so she can learn and copy all the martial arts moves.
This would have been a good idea earlier,
but this is only her second episode as a superhero.
Peter still has amnesia, but his memory gets jogged.
He still has the Isaac Mendes power, precognitive painting.
Unfortunately as an amnesiac his ability to interpret the painting is limited.

) got the blame, and the USA became an anti-Evo Police State.
HRG investigates, and discovers a conspiracy.

He and others like him are being hunted by gun-toting vigilantes.
And surprisingly, a couple of mere mortals can take out a room full of superhumans quite quickly
armed with nothing more than a pistol and a fire extinguisher.

so he really has no special advantage or equaliser.

) and his wife are locked in a mysterious cell somewhere.
They manage to get out,
but rather than find out what is going on they go on a kill-crazy rampage.
This means they kill the only people who actually had any clue as to what was really going on.
In New york City, a little red-headed femme fatale (
Francesca Eastwood
) tries to seduce a super-powered grifter.
Things get a little bit too complicated,
with double-crosses to make the storyline last longer.
In Odessa, HRG teams up with the conspiracy theorist.
The man is a stranger, his only stated goal is to help HRG get his memory back ...
a memory that HRG had removed on purpose, presumably to protect Claire.
If anything, the theorist is an obvious suspect to be involved in the conspiracy.
Perhaps this is only obvious in the era after
Dollhouse
. Speaking of conspiracies,
when they search HRG's old office in the basement of Primatech
they discover all the files of the known Evos,
not even locked up in a filing cabinet!
Nobody ever considers what that info could do in the wrong hands.
Even HRG does not think of destroying it or protecting it somehow.
In Los Angeles, the Mexican wrestler decides to help the underground railroad.
It turns out they are being targeted by a secret gang within the LAPD.
In Tokyo, the Katana Girl teams up with the gamer nerd.
The sword allows her to enter a VR world where she can find out what happened to her father.

Katana Girl infiltrates the Tokyo HQ of the mysterious Mega-corp.
The plot-threads all start to come together.
For example, her magic katana turns out to be Hiro's sword!
Also, the Mega-Corp is behind the abductions.
They have a secret plan for world domination,
and they equate unregistered Evos with hostile.
The hunter couple have a whole stack of Evos to kill.
Who will be the next victim?
There is one minor problem with their plan.
The Hunter guy (Zachary Levi -

) discovers he has a secret issue ...
HRG and his new sidekick visit the hospital.
The bad news is, HRG apparently left a trail of destruction in his wake the last time he was there.
The good news is, they somehow the hospital still has its security video of the event
a full YEAR afterwards, even though most places only keep them a few months at most.
The bad news is, chunks are missing.
The good news, HRG recognises the time-skipping phenomenon
and remembers there is only one person with a Time Travel superpower.

HRG and his sidekick confront the CEO's daughter (

). She wants to find out what happened to her boyfriend,
so she helps them infiltrate the MegaCorp's HQ.
Katana girl and her sidekick arrive in the USA.
Their next step involves a group of Cosplayers!

) gets indexed by the FBI.
Worse, the landlord evicts Tommy and his mother because they were illegal Evos.
This is just a single example of the low-level harrassment
and prejudice that certain minorities suffer from.
There is other bad news.
The DNA check also revealed that his blood group is AB
and his mother's is O, so he must have been adopted ...
HRG and his sidekicks take the fight to the enemy.
They discover that the MegaCorp has stockpiled a seed bank,
like something they would need to rebuild after an Extinction Level Event.
Katana Girl and her sidekick infiltrate the enemy stronghold.
It is obviously a trap, but they are heroes so they plough on regardless.
The invisible girl gets to her pick-up point in Quebec,
but there is nobody there to meet her.
Worse, Mister Multiples is following her - and she is dumb enough to lead him back to her charge.
Worse still, the villains actually have another supervillain as backup.

) heads home. He wants to sell his share of the business to his partner.

This is to facilitate the final stage of his journey.
By incredible coincidence,
the Canadian girl ditches her lift at a yacht club ...

when the catastrophic bombing killed so many people.
However, the one condition is that they must not change anything.
If they do, it will have drastic consequences for the timeline.
Noah finds out what really happened to Claire.
This is really a Jump The Shark moment,
although technically this is a new mini-series rather than a direct continuation.
By that logic, then, Peacekeeper Wars can be forgiven for dragging
Farscape
down so far.
Let us say that Claire's fate is linked to the years she was missing.
Who on earth was she with, and where has he gone?
Mrs Petrelli was still around, and she tried to stop the villains from taking over.
No sign of her son or most of the other regulars.

dressed in exactly the same suit he wore in

Of course, all that happens is he changes history slightly.
Also, he discovers what happened to Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg -

Hiro and Mrs Petrelli get new responsibilities.
This explains why they have not appeared in the story until now.
The hunter couple have lost their only son.
However, instead of grieving they decide to take revenge by murdering random Evos.

Even a mind-reader has to use Jack Bauer torture techniques,
so they must be pretty good at concealing their thoughts.
Nearby, the villainess' daughter and the runaway Evos try to infiltrate the prison camp.

In this reviewer's opinion it is just as well,
because all it did was kill off the much-loved characters of the impressive original series.
