Gus Roberts (Nick Frost - Hot Fuzz ) lives with his elderly father Richard (Malcolm McDowell - Clockwork Orange ). His hobby is running a ghost-busting YouTube channel, Truth Seekers. He mixes this with his day job as a WiFi company's repair man. Dave the Boss (Simon Pegg - Shaun of the Dead ) assigns him a rookie assistant, Elton John (Samson Kayo - Our Flag Means Death ).

Dave the Boss (Simon Pegg - Shaun of the Dead ) assigns Gus Roberts (Nick Frost - Hot Fuzz ) and Elton John (Samson Kayo - Our Flag Means Death ) a mission to a haunted hotel. The creepy manager (Kevin Eldon - HyperDrive ) gives them a tour of the place. Although it is basically a ghost-themed tourist trap, there may be a real haunting there - tied in with the Number Station that Gus listens to obsessively.
Astrid ( Emma D'Arcy ) enters Gus's house and hides from his elderly father Richard (Malcolm McDowell - Clockwork Orange ).

The trio take the weekend off from installing wi-fi, and go to Cornwall to investigate the Beast of Bodmin. A local fan ( Kelly MacDonald ) called in the tip.

The team get to Toynbee's secret base, a disused power station. They get a call from Kelly MacDonald , who tells them to stay away from it. Dave (Simon Pegg - Shaun of the Dead ) tells them to go in and get the wifi working so he can overload the nanobots. Which one of them should be trusted?
