[Season 1 !Season 2 !Season 3 !Season 4 !Season 5 !Season 6 !Season 7 ]
This is set in a parallel world where vampires not only exist, but have come out of the closet and are openly acknowledged.

Sookie ( Anna Paquin ) gets Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer - Ultraviolet ) to take her to the Fang-Banger club. It is a bit tame compared to Blade II , but it is nice to get a glimpse at the wider world that this series is set in. The place is run by Erik Northman (Alexander Skarsgard - Legend of Tarzan ).
Meanwhile, Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten - Tru Calling ) finds his new GF, Dawn ( Lynn Collins ), was written out of the story. This makes him two for two in the eyes of Detective Andy. Jason and Tara's friendship takes another step. She claims to have been with him instead of Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell - American Refugee ).

As a stale pale male person, this politician is going for the reactionary vote. In other words, he hypocritically spouts homophobic and vamp-phobic rhetoric of the God Hates Fangs type.
Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten - Tru Calling ) is in jail, but worst of all - he finds religion! The Church hates vampires, as per the God Hates Fangs sign in the opening credits, so they see the serial killer as a hero. Sookie and Lafayette are busy trying to find Tara. She hides out with Sam Merlotte, forgetting that Sookie knows Sam and can read his mind.
King Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer - Ultraviolet ) and Erik are recruited by the Vampire Authority to hunt down Russell Edgington. Well, all they have to do is act as bait. Steve Newlin gets recruited by Roman Zimojic (Christopher Meloni - Man of Steel ) as the new front-man for the Vampire Authority.

Tara is still working in Fangtasia, but instead of bartending she is a bikini-clad pole-dancer. Her mother, Lettie Mae Thornton ( Adina Porter ), drops by to disown her in person. Alcide meets up with his father, Jackson Herveaux (Robert Patrick - Terminator 2 ).

Just like in Season Two, when Mary-Anne took over, the locals all go crazy when the main characters are out of town!

Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer - Ultraviolet ) and Sookie's relationship, the centre of the entire show, comes to an end.
The final section shows the world in future years. Charlaine Harris , author of the book series this TV show was based on, has a cameo as a crew member of the TV infomercial at the end. Will New Blood be as successful as Tru Blood was?
