In 1965 Steed investigates a terrorist attack perpetrated in England by a Russian soldier, who then dies of old age. Twelve years later there is a similar incident in France. Steed phones Mrs Peel to see if she shares his suspicions, then takes Purdey and Gambit to France to investigate. Yes, this is Mrs Peel's only appearance in the show.
It turns out that there is a group of Russian Spetznaz on the loose in rural France. They are under the impression that WW3 has already broken out, while in fact they may start it!

We get a new Scifi opening credits sequence, because the kids have gone forward a year in school to the fourth grade. They try to get a couple of Trekkies to build a time-machine, so they can travel back to the third grade again.
Meanwhile, Mr Garrison is living in the woods. The new teacher, a Janet Reno lookalike, goes to take his Yoda-like advice.
Richard Blackwood, the irritating Black British TV presenter, goes to Los Angeles and interviews some celebrities. This week he speaks to Sarah Michelle Gellar on the set of Buffy.
Gellar states that she is aged 24, almost 25, and she is only 5ft 2 inches tall. She also talks about life before Buffy.
There are a couple of spoilers in this interview. The first is when Geller mentions the Scooby-Doo movie that she had recently worked on, just before the interview was filmed. Secondly, the interview was partly shot on the set of a Buffy [Season 6] episode. Blackwood stands in for Geller while a new guest character does a dress-rehearsal ...
